Travelling on long journeys with prolonged immobility together with dehydration can cause circulatory problems, one of which is Deep Vein Thrombosis. These flight socks can help reduce the risk of blood clotting and can prevent swollen ankles and aching legs. Those at higher risk of DVT are:

2. If you use oral contraceptives or HRT

4. If you have had recent surgery especially to the lower abdomen
